Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Data Solve is a Melbourne-based database consultancy run by Kristian Lofts. This Privacy Policy explains how Data Solve collects, uses, and protects personal information.

2. What we collect

Through the website, Calendly booking system, and email correspondence, we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if you provide it during a booking)
  • Any other information you choose to share in messages

During paid engagements, we collect the information needed to invoice you (typically a billing address and an ABN if applicable).

3. How we use it

Personal information is used to respond to enquiries, schedule meetings, provide services under signed engagements, and issue invoices. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

4. Third parties we use

The website and engagement process involves third parties who handle some personal information:

  • Calendly for meeting bookings
  • Google for email handling
  • Stripe or direct bank transfer for invoices and payments
  • Hosting provider for site infrastructure

These third parties have their own privacy policies which apply to information they process on our behalf.

5. How we protect it

  • Sensitive information (e.g. credentials shared during an engagement) is stored in encrypted vaults.
  • Multi-factor authentication is enabled on accounts that hold client information.
  • Access to client systems is granted under named accounts with the least privilege necessary.

6. Your rights

You can:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask for it to be corrected.
  • Ask for it to be deleted, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. tax records).
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we have handled your information improperly.

7. Cookies

The website uses cookies for basic functionality (e.g. session handling, WordPress admin) and may use analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns. No cookies are used for cross-site tracking or advertising.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is the one published on datasolve.tech.
